About Us
What is Direct Primary Care?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a new model for healthcare that goes back to the traditional method of actually knowing your physician and healthcare team as members of your community. There are no hidden fees, no billing of insurance, and the cost is based off a monthly membership fee fit to your age and/or family size. This model is especially beneficial for employers who can provide access to healthcare for their employees at a dramatically reduced rate compared to traditional insurance which still requires a great deal of out-of-pocket expense for employees.
Please watch the video below for more information.
What are the cost savings of direct primary care?
The included benefits of direct primary care help patients avoid the excessive and unnecessary cost associated with additional procedures. Our expenses are typically covered completely by monthly membership fees so that we can perform ancillary procedures at no additional cost, or at our cost. That prevents patients from being blindsided by bills in the mail, which is typical of “fee-for-service” medical practices that most patients are used to. The chart below demonstrates the cost savings of a direct primary care membership versus traditional medical clinics.
What does Orchard Health do?
Orchard Health is located in Nashville, Georgia and is a product of the growth and success of its predecessor, direct DOC. While developing added value and services for our current members, we are quickly branching out into other areas in South Georgia. We are excited to be at the forefront of primary health care change in the state of Georgia.
Our Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice has established a straightforward and transparent pricing solution to provide our members with high-quality and affordable health care. Our members pay a flat, recurring monthly fee, much like a gym membership. This care model reduces the hassle of insurance claims and allows the growth of the doctor-patient relationship as it should be…with the focus on your health. We advocate for affordable, yet exceptional medical care and 24/7 access to your provider.
What does Orchard Health not do?
Orchard Health is a direct primary care clinic, we do not replace or serve as a pain management facility. Because of this, we do not claim to be a resource for managing chronic pain or replace this service for our patients. We are able to suggest alternatives to traditional pain management, make a referral, or use behavioral health services to help manage or cope with ongoing pain issues.
We are also not a walk-in clinic. We reserve our time to treat patients of our practice to ensure that we are readily available to meet their needs, not necessarily the needs of the public at large. This allows us to respond even more quickly to our patients’ needs instead of being bogged down by unexpected visits. Most of the time we can see patients as soon as the next business day, and often we are able to see them the very same day.
